Service Type Items

Current values for the Service Type field are listed below. For more details on the terms listed below and general billing information, please refer to our iPass Billing Process document.

daily_usage

The user does not exceed or reach the Daily Cap amount and the “Net Billing Amount” field shown in the CDR report will reflect the session length times the hourly rate.

daily_usage_cap

The user exceeds or reaches the Daily Cap amount on the current session (or on a previous session) and the “Net Billing Amount” field shown in the CDR report will reflect cumulative charges for this session (plus any sessions where the user exceeded the Daily Cap amount).

monthly_usage

The user does not exceed or reach the Monthly Cap amount and “Net Billing Amount” shown in the CDR report will reflect the session length times the monthly rate.

monthly_usage_cap

The user does not exceed or reach the Monthly Cap amount and “Net Billing Amount” shown in the CDR report will reflect the session length times the monthly rate.

daily_trans

A flat charge for unlimited use by a single user.

daily_trans_cap

The user exceeds or reaches the Daily Cap amount on this session. The “Net Billing Amount” field reflects the flat rate charge for this session.

monthly_trans

The user does not reach the Monthly Cap amount on this session. The “Net Billing Amount” field reflects the flat rate charge for this session.

monthly_trans_cap

The user exceeds or reaches the Monthly Cap amount on this session. The “Net Billing Amount” field reflects the flat rate charge for this session.
